Company Receives Fit-Friendly Award for Dedication to Employee Health and Wellness

Lewisburg, Pa. (June 23, 2009) – Playworld Systems, a leading manufacturer of playground equipment, was recently included as part of the Head Start Body Start (HSBS) Preferred Provider List.

There are many energy-related steps manufacturing firms and large institutions like schools and hospitals can take to reduce operating costs and prevent pollution. Four Pennsylvania firms will share their experiences at Best Practices in Greening Manufacturing, Tuesday, June 30 at Bucknell University, Lewisburg.

Exciting times are afoot in Angleton, and we’re not even talking about the Ladycats softball team coming within a few runs of a state title this weekend.

The award winning multigenerational playground offers 20,000 sq. ft. of play: the NEOS play area, the 5-12 year old play are in the middle and the tot-trike area to the left. Behind the playground is a looped asphalt path that connects the park elements. This playground design approach had not been tried in the local area.

(November 21, 2008) – In collaboration with Playworld Systems, Inc. and Playground Specialists, Inc, St. Mary’s County Public Schools has installed the very first Playworld Systems’ PVC free playground at Town Creek Elementary School in Lexington Park, Maryland. The environmental friendly playground is part of St. Mary’s County Public Schools’ dedication and initiative to design, build, and operate schools that provide highly productive learning environments which are energy efficient.
